DMCA Policy

In plain English

If you own a copyright and think Apollo Group TV is carrying your work without permission, send us a notice with the items below and we'll act on it quickly. If your content was removed by mistake, you can send a counter-notice. We're a US service that takes the DMCA seriously.

Apollo Group TV respects the intellectual-property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) of 1998. This page lays out how rights-holders can file a takedown and how subscribers can respond to a removal.

1. How to file a takedown notice

Email a written notice to our designated DMCA agent at help@catchontv1.email. To be valid under Section 512(c)(3), the notice has to include all of the following:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner — or someone authorised to act on their behalf.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you say is being infringed.
  • Identification of the specific material on Apollo Group TV that's allegedly infringing, with enough detail for us to find it.
  • Your contact information — address, phone number, email.
  • A good-faith statement that the use isn't authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you're authorised to act on behalf of the rights-holder.

Notices missing any of these items aren't legally effective and we may not be able to act on them. If you're unsure how to format yours, the U.S. Copyright Office DMCA reference covers the statutory requirements.

2. What happens after we receive a notice

When a valid DMCA notice lands, Apollo Group TV removes or disables access to the material expeditiously. We notify the relevant content source and document the takedown. Most valid notices are actioned within 24 hours.

3. Counter-notices

If your content was taken down and you believe it was a mistake — or that the removal was the result of misidentification — you can file a counter-notice under Section 512(g). Email help@catchontv1.email with the subject "DMCA Counter-Notice" and include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that was removed and where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, phone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if outside the US, any federal court in which Apollo Group TV may be found).

4. Repeat infringers

Apollo Group TV terminates the accounts of subscribers who are determined to be repeat infringers — that's both a DMCA requirement and a hard line for us. There's no second-chance after the third strike.

5. Designated DMCA agent

Email: help@catchontv1.email. Subject line: "DMCA Notice" or "DMCA Counter-Notice". A real person handles every DMCA matter, typically within 24 hours.
